Emerging Frequencies brings together a dynamic group of young and emerging artists whose practices span diverse media, techniques, and perspectives. Rather than unified by a single theme, the exhibition highlights the distinct voices shaping the next generation of contemporary art — offering a snapshot of experimentation, intuition, and evolving creative energies.

Across the exhibition, imagined worlds, shifting landscapes, constructed environments, and distilled emotional states become vehicles for exploring how meaning is formed and experienced. Sacco Arai (b. 1999, Tokyo, JP) draws on the visual language of film and literature to create cinematic paintings that examine the subtle distance between collective realities and private inner lives. Through time-intensive traditional Japanese painting techniques, Arai constructs quiet narrative spaces where figures appear suspended within self-contained psychological worlds. Questions of perception and imagination continue in Alexandra Borovski's (b. 1989, Moldova) Cosmic Oval series, where antique ledger paper becomes the ground for enigmatic landscapes inspired by traditions of exploration and the sublime. Familiar yet unplaceable vistas are interrupted by a recurring oval form that hovers between dream, memory, and revelation, transforming the landscape into a site of uncertainty and possibility.

The interplay between order and invention takes a different form in the paintings of Michael Fried (b. 1998, New York, NY). Drawing from the traditions of Renaissance still life, Spanish bodegón painting, Morandi, Philip Guston, Nicolas Party, and even Looney Tunes, Fried stages everyday objects within carefully constructed compositions. His works balance structure and instability, revealing the persistent human desire to create meaning, harmony, and control within an inherently uncertain world. Visually quite the opposite, Gigi Giovanelli (b. 2003, Charlotte, NC) examines ideas of structure, organization, and the limits of systems through her sculpture series ‘Yellow Fields’. Operating through what the artist describes as a "field logic," the work explores how relationships, measurements, and forms of containment shape our understanding of space. Stability remains provisional, exposing the frameworks through which landscapes—and by extension, experience itself—are organized and interpreted.

Siiz (b. 1995, Seoul, KR) transforms ordinary moments into poetic visual narratives through intricate paper constructions of birds, flowers, houses, and other familiar forms. Rooted in childhood imagination and quiet fantasy, the work embraces fragility and resilience simultaneously, inviting viewers to rediscover wonder within the everyday. A similar sense of reduction and introspection informs the recent paintings of Dov Talpaz (b. 1977, Texas, US). Drawing inspiration from sources as varied as classic Japanese cinema and desert landscapes, Talpaz pares narrative and color down to their essential elements. Through abstraction and restraint, his works pursue a concentrated emotional language capable of conveying atmosphere, memory, and presence with remarkable clarity.

Together, these artists offer distinct yet complementary approaches to image-making, materiality, and perception. Emerging Frequencies reflects the gallery's commitment to identifying and supporting artists at pivotal moments in the development of their practices, bringing together a group whose work signals the diverse directions contemporary art continues to take. Rather than presenting a unified statement, the exhibition reveals a constellation of evolving voices—each operating on its own wavelength, yet contributing to a broader cultural conversation still in the process of unfolding.
